Nigerian artiste, Adekunle Gold, is popularly known for his ability to sing his way into the ladies' heart music but to those who know him better, he is a fantastic "photoshopper".

In his recent posts online, he poses with Kim K and Amber Rose in the raunchiest way possible.

On this week's edition of Face of the week, I welcome photographer Akinboye Akinsola, a student at Obafemi Awolowo UniversIty, Ile-Ife. He answers questions as regards his profession and reveal a very stunning fact.

Tell us a little bit about you:
I am Akinboye Akinsola Sylvester, also known as HARKINLLOLLUWAH. Born into the family of Mr & Mrs Akinboye  a few years ago. The 3rd child of my family.
What sort of work do you specialize in?As a student, I do video and photography.
You study photography and videography?
I mean plus schooling, I do photography and videography.
Oh that's cool. So, What is your primary style in Photography?
With Primary Style,  what do you mean?
Like what's your form of photography? Do you love street/outdoor photography, nature photography, e.t.c.?
I do more of event photography, nature photography then less of outdoor photoshoot. Though I'm still expecting certain equipment used mostly for outdoor photoshoot. I will step that up sooner.
Oh ok! How long have you been into this photography thing?
It's been quite a while.
A while? Like 10 years?
I have been taking pictures since I was very  young but then I just knew a little. I think from last year I started learning more.
What or who got you started in photography?
My mother. She used to have a photo studio.

What type of cameras do you shoot with?
I can operate all kinds of cameras but right now I have a canon 350D and Nikon D3200.
Wow. That's pretty good.

Other than your camera, What is your favourite photography accessory?
Tripod, monopod, reflector,  speed light, light painting, and any kinda source of light that can make my pictures look cool even that light!(sunlight).


Lol. That's a lot. Anyways,  What were the difficulties you encountered first starting photography?
Personally, I don't creep i.e Taking pictures of people without their consent. So most people tend to turn you down.  Then, I don't go about with my camera, so at times I see perfect shots but I miss them because I left my camera behind.
Alright. You talked about outdoor events. I'm sure that includes weddings, How many weddings have you shot?
I really can't count. A lot.
Wow. That should make a rich photographer.

What has been your most memorable wedding photoshoot and why?
All photoshoot memories have been so sweet. I feel good every time I face an "object" with a camera.
Hmmm...Impressive! Is there anybody or anything you would love to photograph that you haven't had the chance to?
Maybe an au naturel model
Sorry... I'm not inclined to that. What does that mean?
Lol. An unclad model.

When you are out shooting, how much of it is instinctual versus planned?
If i get your question right, most times when I am bored, I pick my camera and try new things. So mostly I don't plan. I just shoot things around me and I believe that's the best way to learn better.
Humm...right! you did get it right. How does black and white vs color play into your work? Do you find them to be totally separate beasts or complementary?
I don't mix them. I know when to shoot a colored pix,  a black and white, a Sepia or a Cyanotype .
So who's the photographer that inspires you?
Alot.  I follow a lot of photographers on Instagram and I see their works,  watch some on YouTube and I get inspired to try new things.
Talking about Instagram and Youtube, How has social media played a role in your photography?
It has inspired me big. Learnt most new concepts  there.
As regards photography, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
God's willing. As a Director. (music videos, movies etc)
Hummm... Next Clarence Peters. Your favourite movie and music video of all time?  
Actually, I watch Bollywood movies not because of their boring stories but their camera work is superb, their lighting is great.
"Jamb question" by Simi featuring Falz which was directed MEX films. The camera work was dope. Then "The Sound" by Davido featuring Uruhu, directed by SESAN
If someone said ‘How can I be the next HARKINLLOLLUWAH?’ What would you say?
Haa,  baba be YOURSELF  oooo. Thats exactly what I will spit.

Forced Perspective Images That Would Totally Deceive You

Forced perspective isn't just for still images. This forced perspective gif has been viral for a while. It's mesmerizing. People have lost full minutes staring at this. What exactly is going on?
It's not trick photography. It's all forced perspective. It's from the YouTube channel Quirkology. It's full of amazing optical illusions like this.



You can do really beautiful things with forced perspective. This photograph is by photographer Waleed Almotar. There's more than just camera tricks going on here. The photo also plays with light. The subject is in silhouette. The warm dusk light in the background is in stark contrast. Together they create an image that's almost surreal. It's like a game of soccer among the gods.



The Lord of the Rings used a lot of forced perspective. They made the hobbits look small by positioning them further away from the other characters. This photographer has accomplished something similar here. When the camera is at one angle, the seated woman looks very small. Then the camera shifts. It's really a normal-sized woman seated further away. The Lord of the Rings wasn't the only movie to use this trick. Harry Potter employed the same technique to make Hagrid look like a giant.



This is not a photo of tiny people. They're just super far away. And these desert-dwellers only wish this was a giant bottle of water. It's just really close to the lens.
Once everyone was in place, the photographer just lined them up. There was probably a lot of "a little to the left -- no, your left" going on. But this awesome photo is totally worth it.



The Eiffel Tower hasn't had a makeover. Those are cleverly placed Legos. This photo is by Michael Hughes. Mr. Hughes is credited with getting the internet interested in trompe l'oeil. That's a French word for an art technique that tricks the eye into seeing what isn't there.
Have you seen the chalk optical illusions drawn on public streets? You've probably seen Michael's work. In 2005, Michael added trick photography to his impressive repertoire. That's around the time that this picture went viral.



That's the most literal light saber we've ever seen. Once you're into forced perspective photography, you'll see opportunities all around you. The light saber was a clever move. You could also turn the photo on it's side. Then he'd be cutting through the rock with his laser gun. Getting on the ceiling of that cavern would be hard. Staying up there would be even harder. But the photo would totally be worth it.



This man looks like he's in trouble. It doesn't look like his friend is going to make it to him in time. The man casually catching some rays as he hangs on for dear life is not his friend. Forced perspective isn't always about distance. You can play with axis too. This trick is even easier. There's a lot less lining up. But you do have to convince your friends to lie on the ground. Once you have willing participants though, the fun is endless.



We know all about forced perspective now. But is this a really large woman or a small model of The Sphinx? Forced perspective plays a big role in comedies. Most of them make better jokes than we doOne of the earliest examples was the 1930 Laurel and Hardy movie "Brats". They used forced perspective and trick photography to portray themselves and their sons at the same time. Filmmakers have been using forced perspective to get a laugh since then. It's still just as funny today.
