Idris Elba fires shot at Oscars "welcome to diverse TV"

In contrast to this year's Oscars, the Screen Actors Guild Awards were dominated by diversity.
In a rebuke to the all-white Academy nominations in the acting categories, Idris Elba won the supporting actor SAG Award for Beasts of No Nation, along with a second award for his role in Luther in the TV movie/miniseries category.
Drawing light to the recent controversy, the actor told the audience at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to diverse TV."
