Actress Amber Heard physically assaulted by husband, Johnny Deep

The actress has accused the Pirates of The Caribbean star of verbal, emotional and physical abuse, just days after she filed for divorce to end their 15-month marriage.

She filed for a restraining order which a temporary one was granted by the judge.


The 30-year-old said in the court papers that Johnny, 52, was abusive to her throughout their marriage, culminating in an argument on Saturday night in which he hurled a cell phone into her face and shattered various objects in her apartment.

According to the statement in support of the restraining order, the actor “picked up the magnum size bottle of wine he had been drinking out of, and he started swinging it around, smashing everything he could.”

She declined to speak to reporters as she left court.

Her attorney, Joseph Koenig, said that a judge had issued a restraining order based on the evidence and had ordered further hearings into the matter.


Johnny, one of Hollywood's top actors, was attending a charity event in Lisbon, Portugal and not in court.

Heard filed the divorce petition in a Los Angeles court on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences.

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life," Johnny's representative said in a statement on Thursday in response to the divorce filing, according to People.

"Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

The couple married in February 2015 after meeting on the set of the 2011 film "The Rum Diary."
