Kanye West insist Kim Kardashian isn't after his money, joking: "My wife has dated broke black dudes"

Kanye West proved he has a hidden sense of humour when he insisted his wife Kim Kardashian wasn't a gold digger last night - with a seriously surprising one-liner on stage.
The rapper was accepting his Visionary Award at the BET Honors, when he took the opportunity to set the record straight.
And the crowd loved him for it.
"At the Barber shop I used to hear people say 'you know, when an entertainer get on a course you know, he gonna go get a white girl, and the white girl gonna go get a rich black dude'.

He made Kim laugh

"But I wanna say that my wife has dated broke black dudes."
This was met with applause and laughter from the audience.
He added: "So it ain't got nothing to do with the money. And it takes me back to a story that she told me, where her father Robert Kardashian walked out, and on the side of his Bentley, they wrote n***** lover.

"Because Robert Kardahsian was the genius that put together the defence team that got OJ off. She never saw her father curse, get made, he was the most laid back human being.
"And he went so crazy and tried to chase the people down, and she sat there crying and said 'Dad, why are you going so crazy?' And he said to her, 'one day, you may have a black child, a beautiful beautiful beautiful black child, and it's gonna be hard, you're gonna see how hard it is."
This time the star had a round of applause for his passionate words, and Kim later shared the love for her hubby with a snap of them kissing.
