It might not feel like it but spring is on its way and it's
time to ditch your heavy winter coat and swap it for something a little
more light-weight.
Bond actress Naomie Harris
stepped out this week for the Into Film Awards in a stunning mint green
coat over her printed Peter Pilotto dress and metallic Christian
Louboutin heels.
Not only was the wide-collared jacket super
flattering on the star but it also shielded her from the rain. Practical
and stylish!
Having felt inspired, we've scoured the high street
for some of the hottest spring jackets this season and show you how you
can make them work for your body shape.
Pear shape
If
you have heavy hips, a fitted biker jacket is ideal for you. Wearing a
colour on your top half will work as a distraction, and the structured,
tailored style will help to put you in proportion.
Don’t shy away from
decorative details like frills, zippers and prints on jackets, you can
really pull them off. They’ll help to add curves, which is great if you
are small-busted and need a little oomph.
A belted mac is a saviour for most
figures, but especially curvaceous ones. The looser styles this season
won’t cling, while the belt will nip you in at the waist. Team with a
striped top for a nod to Parisian chic.
