Real Madrid continued their pursuit of league leaders Barcelona with a vital 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano last night.
Predictably Cristiano Ronaldo was at the centre of story, scoring his 300th Real Madrid goal as well as being controversially booked for a 'dive'.
Ronaldo was brought down in the penalty area by Rayo defender Antonio Amaya, a tackle that looked to be stonewall penalty but referee Mario Melero Lopez disagreed and booked the Portuguese captain for simulation.
Ronaldo will now miss Madrid’s clash with Eibar on Saturday after picking up his fifth yellow of the season to which Ancelotti was NOT impressed: “I told him that it seemed incredible not to whistle for a penalty like the one that he did not call,” he said.
Despite the injustice, Ronaldo dusted himself down and netted the opening goal of the game on the 68th minute, then followed it up with an assist for James' goal five minutes later.
Feeling confident, Ronny decided it was time to humiliate a couple of Rayo players with some outrageous skills, notably this filthy nonchalant nutmeg on Roberto Trashorras.
So casual.
