WhatsApp's latest crafty update means you can't ignore someone in a group chat anymore

Are you ready for even more WhatsApp notifications ?

The messaging service has added a small update into both the iOS and Android versions of the app that makes it possible to tag someone in a group chat.

That means the person will receive a notification - even if they've muted the group chat.

For those of us with several different groups on the go, the update can go one of two ways.

Either it's a great improvement that makes sure we don't miss a vital update, or it's going to make ignoring that one irritating person in the group chat even more difficult.

As reported by The Next Web , all you need to do to tag someone is use the "@" symbol in front of their name - as you would on Twitter or Facebook. There's no limit to the number of people you can tag, and they don't even need to be in your phone's contact book.
