William Mattson was left black and blue after his alleged victim's boyfriend kicked down bedroom door to find incident in progress
A suspected rapist was beaten black and blue by the boyfriend of his alleged victim after he arrived home to find the pair together in his bedroom.
The boyfriend launched a furious attack on William Mattson when he heard moaning from the room he shares with his girlfriend and kicked down the door to see the alleged attack in progress.
He bundled Mattson into a car and repeatedly struck him around the face and head, according to news website Myrtle Beach Online.
A police report says Mattson subjected her to the attack after a New Year's Eve party in Conway, South Carolina.
The suspect claimed the victim had consented but he has later charged with first degree sexual assault.
A statement on Conway Police Department's Facebook account said: "On Thursday January 1, 2015 at approximately 12:57am, officers responded to a residence on Hwy 905 in reference to a sexual assault.
"Upon arrival officers were advised by the victim that the suspect had sexually assaulted her.
"The suspect was still on scene and was arrested and transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
"Conway Police Department charged William Mattson, 52, of Conway with Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree."
