DRAMA AS PDP SENATORS STAGED A WALK-OUT DURING AMAECHI'S CONFIRMATION

Despite stiff opposition from the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), the Senate on Thursday
confirmed the nomination of former Rivers State
Governor, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
But angered by their inability to stop the All
Progressives Congress (APC) senators who have a
slim majority over them from confirming
Amaechi, PDP senators staged a walk-out.
Thereafter, Senate President Bukola Saraki
proclaimed Amaechi confirmed as a minister-
