Is it wrong to fancy the pope? Well, Jude Law 's pope anyway.
The 42-year-old actor was spotted filming in Venice's Piazza San Marco, also known as St. Mark's Square, on Tuesday for the eight-part miniseries The Young Pope.
And we'll admit, it's rather confusing for us.
The hunky star, who's made a name for himself playing charming characters such as Alfie and Dickie Greenleaf in The Talented Mr. Ripley, will now take a turn as the pontiff, complete with greying hair and papal dress.
The new series, which is directed by Paolo Sorrentino and stars Diane Keaton as a nun called Sister Mary, has also been filming in South Africa's Western Cape.
But as they move onto Venice, it seems Jude's character is gaining influence as he appears to make a speech from a red velvet lectern, judging by the latest snaps.
In December, the father-of-four was pictured getting hot under the collar as he donned all the religious regalia, including thick cloak and hat, in 35C heat.
Jude's character, the fictional American Pope Pius XIII, is the focal point of the new series, which will air in the UK this year on Sky and HBO in the US.
A brief synopsis describes the show as telling the "controversial story of the beginning of Pius XIII's Pontificate, born Lenny Belardo".
Jude's character is said to be "complex and conflicted", and is set to face turbulent times that will test his faith and more.
Sorrentino has described The Young Pope as a story of "faith" and how people "handle and manipulate power".
He went on to say it is also about: "The clear signs of God's existence. The clear signs of God's absence. How faith can be searched for and lost."
Meanwhile, speaking at the Rome Film Fest in October, Jude said: "At the moment, [the challenge is] that I can only sit on a very uncomfortable sort of stool because they don’t want my papal robes to get creased.
"So I have to sort of hitch them up and put them over the stool and perch. So once I put the robes on, I usually spend the day, 14 hours, whatever, unable to sit. So I look great, but I’m very uncomfortable."
