Man kills girlfriend for infecting him with gonorrhea

31 years old Ekanem Ikot, has allegedly killed his girlfriend Edith Owei,27, in a hotel room for allegedly infecting him with gonorrhea.

The suspect has been on the run since the incidence on Monday, leaving behind, the victim’s lifeless body. Sources close to the couple said the suspect and the victim were in a relationship for close to six months before the criminal act.

An unnamed source claimed the suspect, allegedly lured the victim to Minna in Niger State after she lied to her parents that she was going to Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, to collect her NYSC call-up letter, being a graduate from the Department of Chemistry.

It was gathered that after her family waited for days without hearing from her, they had called her mobile telephone number many times without any answer, then they became suspicious.
Shockingly, the victim’s boyfriend, sent a text message to the victim's elder sister after some days, informing her of the death of the sister in a hotel room in Minna as well as claiming responsibility.




Her body had since been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Hospital in Asaba, even as unconfirmed sources said the suspect allegedly killed the victim when he noticed gonorrhea symptoms after he had sex with her before they moved to Minna.
